21st Century Waltz

see me in my dancing shoes
the soles are full of holes
I cannot dance yet another waltz

I cannot order them on amazon
the delivery would still take too long
I will go out and buy me some shoes

once there on the open street
I feel the urgent need
to grab my phone and update my tweets

the president speaks out his mind
I feel sublime
With the kids on my timeline
Backup my stories in my brain
I feel no shame to reveal who I am

now that my dancing shoes are new
the old ones are given to the poor
it feels so nice, to dance through the night
